Thanks for Sharing Your Love in Our June Art Challenge

We’re so excited to reveal the finalists of our June Arteza Love4Love Challenge! Artists from everywhere turned out and showed love for their family, friends, summer and more by using our weekly drawing prompts to create incredible art. They used everything from Arteza markers, brush pens and fineliner pens to acrylic paint, gouache and colored pencils. We were overwhelmed with the talent and creativity that’s in our community and it was a challenge to choose from among so many extraordinary works.

Thank you to all those who participated and shared their work with us and the world by posting on their social media channels using #artezalove.

Day 31/100 ~ HAPPY PRIDE MONTH ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 This original gouache illustration “Born This Way” was painted from my heart like all of my work. I hope it resonates with you and I wildly appreciate when you share my art & message to reach more people ✨ The second and third slides I’ve put are a repost of @pfpicardi to share some important resources 🌈 I think moving forward into CREATING a new culture we all deserve, supporting these Black-led LGBTQ+ organizations is extremely important. As many of you know, the rights we have today in the LGBTQ+ community are thanks to the work of mostly POC, specifically trans womxn of color (like Marsha P. Johnson & Sylvia Rivera) who did the work and changed history with the Stonewall riots. Now it’s time you do the work to educate yourself to overcome your own biases and privileges to be a better, loving, understanding, empathetic, and more accepting human being. Every day moving forward we all have the chance to be better and do better and I hope you full heartedly commit to that. So today is a bit different guys!✨✨✨ I decided to enter @artezaofficial ‘s love4love challenge! The prompt for this week was unicorn🦄🦄! I don’t know why but whenever I think of unicorns I immediately think of unicorn tears LOL. I’ve been watching wayyyy too many fantasy movies haha! I’m not too happy with her as I planned to make her more rainbowy, but I like this solemn look too so I guess I did alright?? What do you guys think? Should I have gone down the more bright rainbow route or no? Also, ignore me referencing my own art in my speedpaint LOL. Arteza love4love challenge, week 3 - Father’s Day 🌟 When we were kids mom used to work late night shifts as a nurse at the hospital(so she was with us in the day time) in the city close to where we lived. My dad would often pack us 3 girls up and take us there, a road trip to the big cityyy, and go to McDonald’s. After eating we would visit mom at work and show of the things we got in the happy meal. Its great memories! I’m extremely greatful for my parents, they have been the best and still are. Whipped up this lil piece for Father’s Day tomorrow 🐧 Most animal species rely on mothers for all caretaking duties, but penguin dads are hands on af! Penguin dads fast for weeks to keep the egg warm and protected while the mamas go get food for the baby. If the egg hatches early, the father will regurgitate anything he has left in his stomach to feed the lil baby. Day 18/100 The beachside carnival is one of our favorite memories of summers🌊. Even though this summer will be different 🌞🏖️, let's hope that art gives us an outlet.
