The longevity of your drawings and blendability of your pencils depends on the quality of your sketchbook paper. It’s important to work with acid-free sketchbook paper to deter yellowing, fading, and hue deterioration from accumulating over the years. All of our sketchbooks feature completely acid-free paper designed specifically for wet, dry, or mixed media. Stock up on all of the sketchbooks you need to create museum-worthy drawings, sketches, and illustrations anywhere you go through our premium Sketchbooks Collection!
Is there a difference between drawing paper and sketching paper? Drawing paper tends to be a heavier weight than sketching paper. Paper between 100 and 150 gsm is good for drawing and dry mixed media, and paper between 70 and 100 gsm is better for sketching. Although you may draw on sketching paper and sketch on drawing paper, heavy-weight paper is often used for finished projects, whereas light-weight paper is often reserved for practice. For drawing paper see our Drawing Pad collection.
