Art as the Vehicle for Change

Art as the Vehicle for Change

As we continue to process the news that unfolds around us, we know that these unprecedented times are heavy with emotion and uncertainty. With greater reason, our Arteza community must know that we stand in solidarity with you and with those that seek justice and reform.

I share with you some thoughts and ideas that I hope to be uplifting and perhaps inspire change. There are a few things I know to be true. I know that we are a company that values the notion of being a good human, always. I know that Arteza will continue to prioritize its actions in the service of our creator community. I know that our mission and purpose as a company has created an incredibly inclusive community of artists that can bring change to the world. I know that we value celebrating everyone by providing tools to express their innermost feelings and shine a light on those tough societal things that are sometimes hard to express. I know that I am proud of the work we do in providing a platform for our community to express themselves and inspire us to enact change.

Arteza will be donating to Smoke Signals Studio, Laundromat Project, and Groundswell, all community-based organizations who share a common mission of bringing together youth, artists, and community organizations to use art as a tool for social change.

We need you now more than ever to use your art to bring forth change. As creators, you are the repository of society's collective memory. All weekend long we will be sharing artists who inspire us across our social platforms. So please, lift your pen, pencil, paintbrush, marker, or even a knitting needle, and inspire us all.

Hey, Nancy. While we’re not aware of any youth programs at this time that would offer art supplies. We truly wish you the best in your search to help encourage a creative spirit in the kids around your area.

Is there a program for youths that would donate art supplies so that I could teach art to kids that need something to do to keep them out of trouble and give them something to do in the rural areas around me I have been wanting to do this but do t have the money to buy the stuff we would need… And there is an adult daycare that really needs this as well and I told them if we can get supplies I would do classes for free.

Hi there! We don’t run an art donation program, and it would ultimately depend on the organizations you want to help for. Feel free to look for “charity auction” events, where paintings will be a great auction item.

How can I help donate some of my art?

Arteza - April 28, 2022

That truly warms our hearts to hear, Elaine. Being there for not only our fellow artists, but those being marginalized and disenfranchised is at the core of who we are.
