Give your artwork a bold touch of color with alcohol markers. These popular markers have been used for everything from brightly colored comic book art to stunning architectural illustrations of skyscrapers. Artists love using these because they can easily be layered to create stunning effects and you can blend colors together to make your subjects look photo-realistic. However, it can be depressing when your favorite colors of alcohol ink markers dry out, or if your blending markers get too dirty and can’t blend properly anymore. Now you can replenish your collection with just the colors you need with our open stock alcohol markers. Whether it’s restocking on your favorite colors or grabbing a few extra colors you didn’t get in your set, you’ll find yourself coming back to this page frequently. Shop our huge collection of colors and discover the next color you’ll be adding to your collection!

What are alcohol markers for? They can be used for a variety of things, but mainly they’re used for drawing bold and bright illustrations and portraits. Their blendable nature makes them especially popular amongst comic book illustrators and manga artists. Architects also tend to use these markers to illustrate their future building designs. You can also use them for coloring, drawing, and sketching as well!

What paper is best for alcohol markers? You’ll want a paper that isn’t too absorbent and mostly smooth on the surface. Less absorbent paper allows you more time to blend colors with each other. You’ll also want a smooth surface with almost no texture so that you’ll be able to get nice smooth areas of color. Our mixed media paper is a great choice to use with the Everblend marker collection.

How can you tell if a marker is alcohol-based? One of the ways you can tell the difference between a water-based marker and an alcohol-based marker is their permanence. Alcohol markers tend to be permanent and will often bleed through thin sketch papers, whereas a water-based marker won’t do this. You’ll also notice that alcohol markers will blend well together while a water-based marker won’t be able to make a smooth gradient without the help of another color or water.

Alcohol markers are a versatile, portable, and beautiful way to create stunning and bright works of art that every artist can’t resist trying. Also using markers tends to be pretty intuitive, which makes it approachable for most artists. If you’re constantly rationing how much you use your markers so you don’t run out of your favorite colors, you don’t have to worry about that anymore. Simply pick up some extra colors from our open stock collection of alcohol markers and keep your desk stocked with the colors you need most. Shop our collection today and start creating!
