Table Top Easels

Don’t have room for a full-sized easel? Grab a table top easel for your desk or studio! These little portable easels are designed so that you’ll get all the functionality of a large easel without it taking up nearly as much room. Plus since they’re meant to go on a table, they’ll allow you to work while sitting instead of standing. Whether you’re working on a mini canvas or a medium-sized piece, you’ll be able to lean it against these adjustable table top easels.

As an artist, working upright is actually quite important. Some artists prefer working at a slight angle, but in general it’s all about how you sit and approach your piece. If you work horizontally, there is a chance that your perspective can be skewed. This can cause proportions and depth to be affected as you create. To prevent this you always want to make sure you’re looking at your piece at the right angle to ensure everything is accurate.

Another reason having a wooden table top easel may help is while you’re travelling. Some artists enjoy setting up their painting space and getting everything ready, but breaking down a large easel can take some time. Our tabletop easels fold quickly and some even allow you to store your media and brushes within a drawer attached to the easel. All you’ll need is a flat surface to prop your easel against and you’ll be able to start working.

Regardless of whether you’re a professional or an artist just starting their journey, having an easel is a good place to start. You can use these to create your pieces or you can leave them out to display your newly finished pieces. Either way, if you’re not ready to commit to the space or size of a large easel, start out with a convenient table top easel.
